Proudly presented by members of Henley SLSC. A free evening event open to juniors, HET and other interested members. The original idea came from our youth group (HET), who were keen to find out more about certain careers and pathways from older role models within the club.
The evening will be split into 2 parts:
1. Short Q&A style presentations by approx. 14 members, with the opportunity to ask questions in a group setting.
2. 1:1 information stations where you can ask questions depending on specific areas of interest.
We are lucky to have a large number of volunteers (who have responded to newsletter and social media posts) presenting, covering a diverse range of careers, studies and opportunities within surf lifesaving.
Currently topics include:
o Careers; paramedic, carpenter, occupational therapist, facilities manager, fire fighter, teacher, education engagement, learning & organisational development, electrician, community services, PR & marketing, writer/editor
o Information related to: applying for the fire service, working for Camp America, leadership roles within surf lifesaving
o Advice on: VET, SACE, SATAC and other pathways by a Vocational Services Coordinator
All of our presenters are active members of Henley SLSC, with many having previously been nippers and youth members.
All we ask is that you bring lots of questions, enthusiasm and remember the Henley FIRST values (particularly the ‘R’ for Respect) when listening to our presenters. The bar and restaurant will be closed so feel free to bring along some – non messy – snacks 😊
Please RSVP below or via the Team App. Any questions, contact Bec Codd on 0434 072 043
