ISSUE: April 2025NEWSLETTERFull newsletter attached and on the Henley Surf Life Saving Club
website PAGE 1President’s NoteAny early morning walkers or late-night revelers will have noticed the south side of the surf club is once again lit up with new emergency lighting.
And that the entrance way is also again lit with uplights. These are the ‘small’ things that make the club work, but these small things take big volunteer efforts. Getting lights replaced takes finding the money, arranging the contractors, meeting the contractors, reporting on use of funds… So thanks to all the people who got this done, they know who they are.
Another ‘small’ thing is arranging the top room each Friday for our social nights and drawing the member draw. Any one can do any of these duties. If you are first into the top room for training or social functions, feel free to move the table and chairs into the desired formations. Just like you’d do at a footy or netball club. Glasses, cutlery, and water jugs are available from the friendly staff at our partner Ocean.
This is the best time of year at the club. Come down and enjoy the beach, jump in one of our come and try sessions and do your last patrol. Get your business to book a meeting in our Top Room and showcase how good the facilities are at Henley. Or hit the pool with our Pool rescue competition team.
See you at Henley,
Jim.
